No Silence, No Shame: Families of the Executed
Austin, Texas ~ October 27, 2005

On October 27, 2005, Murder Victims’ Families for Human Rights (MVFHR) initiated “No Silence, No Shame,” an effort to bring together those who have lost family members to state-execution. The opening ceremony was held in Austin in conjunction with the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (NCADP) annual conference. As part of the ceremony, red roses were placed in a vase in remembrance of those executed, and of those whose lives have been taken by murder.
